The Defence Line for children

Taking the kids to the Defence Line of Amsterdam is great fun, too. A visit to a real fortress is always exciting and children will have the opportunity to wander around and explore.
Children can learn about the history of the Defense Line of Amsterdam in a playful manner. Some Defence Line forts offer special activities for children or cool stuff to do. It’s also easy to combine a visit to the ‘Stelling’ with a canoe, boat or bike trip. Most of the forts that are open to the public can be visited for less than €5 a person. In some cases children can access for free or at a discount. In other words: there’s plenty to do, even if your funds are limited.
